Carefully selected Uji-grown tencha is finished in Shizuoka using traditional craftsmanship and environmentally responsible practices. The result brings together deep Uji umami, brilliant green color, an exceptionally smooth texture, and a refined finish.

Where is DROP 001 from?+
DROP 001 begins with Uji-grown tencha and is expertly stone-milled in Shizuoka, bringing together two of Japan's most respected tea traditions.
What cultivar is used?+
An Okumidori blend selected for its rich umami, smooth sweetness, brilliant color, and clean finish.
How should I prepare it?+
Use one scoop with water at 70–80°C and whisk until smooth and foamy. It is suited to both usucha and koicha preparation.
Does it contain anything else?+
No. It is 100% matcha with no fillers, flavors, or shortcuts.
What does Founder's Edition mean?+
DROP 001 is Matcha Riot's first release. Only 200 units were produced, with no restock planned.
